'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his desire in going back to the Premier League has faded and he is willing to explore a new deal with Bayern Munich.

The prolific striker is currently two years through the four-year deal he signed when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 appearances for the German team, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first significant achievement of his notable career.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about going back home as he previously was, and would seriously think about prolonging his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of extending longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be open to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it hinges on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not focusing about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had questioned me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different periods happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five divisions, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a honor had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would feel after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now feels it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be easy to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to attain in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
